Description

Enthralled: The Guru Cult of Tibetan Buddhism exposes the real story behind the recent scandals regarding Shambhala International and Rigpa International, and their head Lamas, Sakyong Mipham, and Lama Sogyal Rinpoche, whose egregious sexual and other abuses of their western students have been all over the mainstream news in the 2017-2018 news cycle. Forcing these lamas to extricate themselves to parts unknown to escape criminal consequences. Enthralled reveals how this is only the 'tip- of- the iceberg' of what lies beneath the smiles of these Tibetan lamas. Chandler's book examines: The history of Tibetan Lamaism and its institutionalized sexual exploitation of young females for the Lamas' secret Vajrayana occult practices that are nothing the Buddha ever taught. How the institution of tulkus, i.e., recognized 'living Buddhas' by the Lamaist hierarchy, ensures despotic fundamentalism that is abusive to everyone; including the little boys who are groomed by Tibetan Lamaism to be its brand names. How Tibetan 'Buddhism' is Lamaism, not Buddhism; an androcentric priesthood engaged in occult, superstitious practices of 8th century Indian Tantric yogis and ancient Bon shaman practices, mixed with traditional Mahayana Buddhism; meeting the criteria of cult-experts Lifton and Singer of what makes a cult a cult, including its guru yoga practices; the most effective of their mind-control techniques. How the sexual and other abuses by these Lamas, and their 'advanced' western inner circle, are not exceptional acts of exploitation done by rogue lamas but are built into the Vajrayana Tantric teachings, themselves. How the roots of the mindfulness explosion originated with two Tibetan Tantric students of the notorious Trungpa Rinpoche; who then joined forces with the Dalai Lama's Mind and Life Institute. A movement that is now 'mega-corporatized.' The same 'mindfulness' practices that are teaching more people to become passive and less rational; no longer able to judge between right and wrong, or lies from the truth. How these Tibetan Lamas have actively joined forces with the Progressive Left's ideology and its 'Green New Deal.' With 'on-the-ground' analysis, extensive documentation, and a fact-filled, personal narrative, Enthralled: The Guru Cult of Tibetan Buddhism, delves deep into the dangers this spread of Tantra through Tibetan Buddhism and its mindfulness movement poses to the separation of Church and State and the foundations of our western democratic values and freedoms.

About the Author

Christine A Chandler, M.A., C.A.G.S., had been working as LICSW social worker and licensed psychologist, specializing in the areas of sexual abuse in families, when so many members of her profession were seduced by Tibetan Buddhism and its mindfulness meditation. The year was 1984 at a Boston Shambhala Center. She had no idea that the same dynamics of institutionalized sexual abuse were present in her new 'religion'; a Tantric cult that uses religion to silence it's victims and perpetuate its thousand-year-old authoritarian sexual, financial and spiritual exploitation. Chandler spent nearly three decades in the center of the hierarchy of Tibetan Buddhism with its celebrity Lamas, having taken care of the son of the most famous Tibetan Lama, Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche; the creator of the Mindfulness and 'Contemplative Psychology' movements. A now conflated and dangerous mix for Western civilization. This gave Chandler both an intimate and a bird's eye view as to how these Lamas work their western sanghas, together, to keep their secrets. Once she realized that she had been made a pawn on a geopolitical chessboard to perpetuate the Lamas' medieval, misogynistic world, she broke free; determined to warn others about what lies beneath the smiles and peaceful façade of the Vajrayana cult that goes by the name: 'Tibetan Buddhism'.Enthralled is a cautionary tale of the slippery slope the mindfulness meditation movement can be with its deep ties to a faux-Environmentalist Movement. Chandler experienced its blueprint in Crestone, Colorado, the Land of Lamas, Lunacy and the United Nations Agenda 2030: the origins of the Green New Deal'.
